Everyone’s jumping on the band wagon to go green. One way that I’ve been green is by saving my plastic grocery bags instead of throwing them out. But Justin would tell you differently. I have no problem saving them…it’s the part about taking them to Harris Teeter to be recycled that I have a problem with. Justin found my stash of bags and got upset because they were too close to the hot dryer. ya ya
BTW…I do have reusable shopping bags now.
Anyhow, Justin found this cool site called Recycled Waders. And the purpose of this site is to "go green with your old waders."
The whole idea must be fairly new because the site says "26 pairs of waders recycled." From what I can read, there are two ways to take part in this program. 1. Donate your old waders that are no longer usable. They will then be repurposed for another fisherman to use. I guess it’s along the lines of "My Junk, Your Treasure." 2. You could also send in your waders to be sewn into a new creation such as a ‘Nook Sack or Greenback Wallet.
Right now they’re only recycling breathable waders…but apparently they are working on recycling neoprene waders.
I’d keep an eye on this company. As I said before, it appears that they are rather new but I don’t see the environmental trend going away anytime soon.
