Yes I know…I’ve been neglecting Broad and Reel. My excuse is that I’ve been busy working!
But here’s an update!
Justin and his buddy went to Hatteras last weekend with the goal of catching a huge shark…and they did just that. Below are the pictures of Justin’s shark.
Stats:
- Species: Sand Tiger
- Length: 8-1/2 feet (Holy Cow!)
- Weight: Unknown
The beast was caught on a king mackerel head was returned to the ocean completely unharmed. Needless to say, Justin is ecstatic and I believe we are making a trip up there in a couple weekends with his cousin Jon.
What are you guys doing for Labor Day? I always enjoy Labor Day…Justin and I are going to his parents in Bluffton, SC for the weekend.

Great catch. I love Hatteras and my next trip there is going to be in October. There is a lot of other good fishing there besides Sharks.
As for this weekend I might try and find a lake nearby to hook a bass but next weekend is Topsail and I always seem to do good there.
